Thursday July 11, 2024 3:05pm - 5:00pm EDT
This session strips back the jargon of terms like digital public goods, digital commons, and digital public infrastructure to focus more holistically on the challenges governments face in using open source infrastructure for social good. In doing so, and in the spirit of community and cooperation, the session will consider open source infrastructure from many points of view, both as the code itself and the applications of code, as well as the organizational and policy infrastructure to support reuse of open source technologies.

The agenda is as follows:

Government Panel Discussion
  • Moderator: Jonathan Lloyd, DPGA
  • Anir Chowdhury, a2i
  • Adriana Groh, Sovereign Tech Fund

Technology Panel Discussion
  • Moderator: Jake Watson, DIAL
  • Ruth Ikegah, CHAOSS/OSPO Now
  • Robert MacTavish, Primero/Unicef
  • Brian Behlendorf, Open Wallet

Development Cooperation Panel Discussion
  • Moderator: Nick Gates, OFE
  • Nico Luck, GovStack
  • Fui Meng Liew, Unicef
